Our Relier life floats in a remote little cloud in the big, wide digital world. We are a multi-state team, with one big dream. We champion retail careers far and wide and love connecting beaut talent with beaut brands across the Australian land.

Our Director, Lauren, (aka, moi) and our Recruitment Assistant, Jess, are nestled in two coastal locations: Burleigh and the Northern Beaches respectively. We love our bread, our butter, but most of all EACH OTHER. Whilst distance separates us for the most part, we stay connected and build our own little culture in a few strategic ways. Relier, after all, means connect. It’s our founding value and the heartbeat of what we do and so staying connected naturally is at the forefront of what we do as a team.

We connect on Google Hangouts first thing, every Monday.

We chat all things weekend (it gets juicy!). We set our intention for the week. We explore our priorities for the week ahead, and we set our headhunting tactic for the shifts to follow. Sometimes we are fresh faced and marinading in our favourite skin care, other times, we are dolled up to perfection and ready for a round of Zoom interviews…. one thing we can guarantee at all times: coffee. in. hand.

We use Asana like it’s going out of fashion

Asana is the handiest little thing we’ve ever laid our gorgeously manicured hands on. Our Job Board applications are integrated with all of our live vacancies and our candidate management list. We are always keeping our eye out for a DING in the inbox that notifies us of a gorg new submission.

We have a whole lotta’ different lists floating around in Asana. Everything from our monthly marketing tasks, through to candidate journeys, live vacancies and more. It’s our secret weapon to prioritising and staying across where we are both at in our recruitment journey.

We love a little catch up chat, a pep talk or a confidence booster when we’re on the fence about the next step in a journey for our candidate.

We schedule an interstate training day once per quarter

Our in-person get togethers are the most valuable time we have together. These focus on Jess and her development in her new role, but are also simply just good for bonding. I plan training around Jess’s growth in her areas of marketing & recruitment and each quarter we implement a new task or skill into her role and responsibilities. Weekly WIPS and Share Drives

We are also lucky enough to have some super spesh clients on a recruitment subscription, which essentially means we manage their end-to-end application process using their internal portals. Most of our clients are based in Sydney and so we do this virtually. We track our task list and outcomes through our weekly virtual WIP meeting, spreadsheet task maintenance and strategic folder management through a shared drive. Ya ok – it doesn’t sound that fun or fancy, but we lurve our recruitment subscription work and we LUUUURVE that we can do it from anywhere in the world and get great results.

Our remote little cloud is a dreamy place to be and despite the distance between each other and our clients, we make it work in a very functional way that allows us to stay connected to each other.
