PREPPING FOR A JOB INTERVIEW

Venture through our simple hit list of how to prep for your dream job interview. We've got you, always.

ONE

Do your research. First things first, spend some time researching the company and really get to know it. How did they start, what are their brand aesthetics, values and ethos? In your interview it is important to express how you align with the brand and what you bring to it. This shows the hiring manager what you can bring to the team.

TWO

Get technical. Brush up on your finest skills, best achievements and get ready to throw some numbers into the mix. As a store manager you achieved triple your quarterly budget? BAM. Hired!

THREE

Dress the part. We will say it once and a million times more, dress like you are already working at the company. Brush up on those outfits angels!

FOUR

Anticipate. Prepare for some of the questions you expect to hear in the job interview. Be confident in ‘telling a little about yourself’ and be open and honest about where your strengths and weaknesses lie.

FIVE

Practise makes perfect. Go on, get in front of that mirror, you know you want to. Ask your self the easy questions, the hard ones or just familiarise yourself with your career journey and what led you to applying for this role. Call on your bestie, your partner, your family and have them ask you the juicy questions.

SIX

Know the questions you want to ask. ALWAYS and I mean always have at least one question prepared to ask the hiring manager following an interview. You can ask about company culture, career progression opportunities or about what they love most about working for the company. Remember the hiring process goes two ways.
