About the Role

The Junior Account manager will cover; PR plan development and implementation; Media and talent conversion; event coordination, Client servicing, account and office administration

In this role you will:

  • Developing and implementing client event concepts

  • Assistance in sourcing, negotiating, leveraging and evaluating client sponsorships

  • Assessing opportunities to value-add to client plans and results

  • Maintaining a wide network of media contacts

  • Compiling targeted media lists relevant to each client and brand

  • Creating and copywriting key brand and campaign messages

  • Researching and drafting media releases and writing a wide range of media materials

  • Identifying and pitching a variety of media angles for client brands and products

  • Follow media trends and reporting them to clients and team

  • Conducting media follow up to ensure coverage is delivered with the correct information

  • Day-to-day communication with clients to ensure smooth running of the account and open lines of communication

  • Relationship building and networking with clients where possible

  • Monitor media for potential client relevant issues: interpret and report to clients

  • Preparing weekly/monthly/project and social media reports

  • Manage planning & weekly social media schedule

  • Publish and share timely content that builds demand and optimises audience engagement

  • Oversee community management across socials

  • Managing small-scale client events and assisting large scale  events

  • Attending and promoting client events to the media

  • Working at events managing guest registration and event management

  • Assistance in sourcing, negotiating and leveraging client sponsorships

  • Pro-actively building the database to include any relevant contacts: media, general industry,

  • Celebrities, clients, agencies, talent etc.

  • Manage office IT; IT support; and IT contractors

  • Day to day administration of office: answering telephone; taking messages, fielding media & general enquiries; correspondence with clients and media, making appointments, showroom maintenance, postage and banking

You’re a fit if you…

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • Advanced knowledge of public relations field

  • Proven experience within a PR agency or internal apparel/beauty/lifestyle brand

  • Self motivated

  • Advanced time management skills
