Three Resume Must-Haves to get you That Role.

We’ve seen more resumes in our lifetime than we can count out loud and would like to think we know a thing or two about what makes a goodie… We’re also big fans of alliteration and a quick easy read. So without further ado, we’ve got three simple tips that will help your resume stand out from the rest.

  1. PUNCTUATION - this means no spelling mistakes, perfected grammar and succinct languaging. No one likes a four page resume that hasn’t been scoured for mistakes … get to the point and do it with perfection!

  2. PERSONALITY - this means you should be showing off your personal flare. You’ve got one chance to capture the attention of that talent hunter … so use your template and your succinct languaging to show your sparkle and talk the talk (save the walking for the interview). It’s not about listing the descriptions of your role … it’s about showing off what you achieved - what made you a superstar success story in that position?

  3. POISE - this means sophistication in layout and in presentation. Find balance between the design of your resume and it’s functionality (like any good lounge, know what I mean?). It should look wonderful, but be easy to read. Feature the most important aspects up front and centre and list each element in a logical sequence. Generic template? No. It won’t do. That’s just not you, darling.

Use these tips to get that resume sparkling… or if you need a helping hand, you know who to call!
