INTERNAL VS. EXTERNAL PROGRESSION

When receiving an internal promotion, you can expect a 3% - 6% salary increase with your current company. Although this is certainly something to strive for, it is also important to consider that if you were to change companies, you can expect an 8% to 14% salary increase. Quite the difference!

With that being said, it certainly does not mean you should change companies each year based on pay expectations, as these are just averages and not guaranteed. Resumes that show 3 - 4 years of consistent tenures with brands are the most desirable candidates when it comes to the selection process, as it showcases loyalty and resilience within your current workplace.
