You’re a fit if you …

  • Bring 3-5 years in a Design/Senior Design role within fashion

  • A degree or diploma in fashion or related field with 2+ years of technical experience is highly regarded.

  • Previous experience with tech packs, garment construction, pattern making and basic garment measurements

  • Experience managing and adhering to design timelines and deliverables

  • Ability to collaborate closely with functional team including product, designers, creative and others.

  • A strong team player that thrives in a highly collaborative and creative environment.

About the Role:

As the Designer for this powerhouse brand, you will be responsible for executing seasonal garment designs in line with the brand DNA. You will ensure design concepts are translated seamlessly through to SMS and then final handover to the production department.

  • In collaboration with the design and sales team, develop concept/direction for each season, ensuring thorough research has been done to identify key trends, colours and fabrications relevant to Brand DNA.

  • Review past seasons sales reports to ensure key shapes are evolved for future collections

  • Collaborate with team for all initial seasonal research to develop final concept boards

  • Collaborate with sales and Creative Director on range plan, option plan and price point

  • Assist preparing mood boards, colour palettes and work on the overall concept and direction for each season consistent with concept brief for sign off with sales and CEO.

  • Design ranges in line with the range plan, budget and working with brand image, option plan and price point

  • Prepare all design tech packs and design sheets for hand over to production

  • Management of product margin with production and sales teams achieving first margins

  • Track the sample process, from initial fits through to final PP samples as OK for productions according to calendar and with the support of the in-house production team

  • Attend all fit sessions with the garment technician from first sample to final sample

  • Attend and present completed SMS range and costings to key stake holders for range approval and sign off

  • Work with marketing and Creative Director on the preparation and execution of seasonal campaign shoots and look book shoots
