Wondering how long it may take to secure your next dream role?

Applicants who are shortlisted as a top fit for a role should expect a call or phone interview within the week. From here, subsequent in-person and Zoom interviews are typically scheduled weekly. For senior roles, expect a project phase in addition to interviews, which can take up to 2 weeks for completion and review.

The application process can be lengthy, as consecutive interviews may take place with HR, department managers as well as company executives. Movement from one stage to the next is an achievement in itself, so be proud of each success. If you've reached reference checks, the finish line is approaching. These typically take up to three days, which will then hopefully lead to a swift role offer and acceptance on your part.

If successful, factor in your resignation period, most commonly 4 weeks however seniority and tenure will impact this. With each of these stages in mind, the entire process from the moment you apply until you start your role can span up to 10 weeks, varying based on the hiring company's processes.
